Prologue
Kenai’s the stud of this cast of characters. He’s from Alaska, and grew up around wild rivers and lakes, doing the heavy lifting that the other guys can’t handle. Kenai is confident and soft-spoken, knowing that his brawn does all the talking for him. Unless provoked, and when that happens, watch out - he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Bighorn’s no stranger to rough and tumble encounters. He’s not as beefy as Kenai, but he knows how to hold his own. Born and raised on the rivers of Montana, he learned how to balance strength and finesse. Calm, cool and collected in the face of a challenge, he knows what he wants and how to get it.
Eden comes from across the pond, with a regal bloodline stemming from the county of Cornwall. Lover of fish and chips and a good rugby match, his feistiness is hard to miss. Small in stature, he learned his place after taking on a few jobs that were a bit too big for his britches. Never the less, he loves attention, and knows the effect his accent can have on a woman (even if his voice is a little high pitched).
This strange threesome comes from all walks of life: a mountain man, a farm hand, and a mama’s boy. Kenai voyaged south by crabbing boat to Vancouver, and then through the rivers of interior British Columbia, until he was picked up at a fly fishing auction south of Calgary.
Bighorn left his home by way of an online auction house as item 456108. His Greyhound ride was a bit bumpy, but it was nothing his tough exterior couldn’t handle.
Eden traveled to London by ferry, and then hopped on a plane and flew - in coach, no less - to Calgary, where he now waits with baited breath for his chance to get out of the drawer.
The time has come. The door swings open and the angler walks in, weathered gear bag in hand. He lovingly scoops up his rod, and his hand hovers over the drawer of reels as he tries to decide who to take with him today...
